Because the main show is happening at Kallang instead of the Padang, the best places to watch the NDP 2026 fireworks have shifted. Traditional Marina Bay spots may still offer partial views, but the strongest vantage points are now concentrated around Kallang Basin and the Singapore Sports Hub.

Best Places to Watch NDP 2026 Fireworks Near Kallang

For the closest views of the fireworks, head toward the Singapore Sports Hub precinct. These spots place you near the heart of the action and offer some of the clearest views of the National Stadium fireworks.

📍 The Kallang Hotspots (Closest to the Action)

1. Stadium Riverside Walk

• The vibe: High-energy, festive, and close to the main action.
• The view: Located near the National Stadium and Kallang Wave Mall, Stadium Riverside Walk puts you close to the fireworks launch area. It is one of the most direct free viewing spots for NDP 2026.
• From 25 July to 9 August 2026, the walkway is also expected to feature the official “Go Beyond” National Day light-up display, making it a great pre-fireworks stop.
• Pro tip: Stadium MRT will likely be crowded after the show. Consider walking to Kallang or Mountbatten MRT stations to avoid the worst congestion.

2. Tanjong Rhu Promenade & Suspension Bridge

• The vibe: Scenic, breezy, and ideal for photos.
• The view: Tanjong Rhu Promenade sits directly across the water from the National Stadium. It offers a wide view of the dome, Kallang Basin, and the city skyline.
• For a slightly higher angle, walk toward the Tanjong Rhu Suspension Bridge. It is a strong spot for photography, but keep moving if the area becomes crowded.
• Pro tip: Arrive by late afternoon if you want to secure a good waterfront spot.

3. Lookout Deck at Kallang Basin (via Nicoll Highway)

• The View: While it is slightly further from the Kallang action than in previous years, the massive green rooftop lawn still offers an elevated, wide-angle view of the entire bay area. Space fills up fast, so aim to arrive by 4:30 PM.

To make sure you don’t miss the grand finale, keep these rough timings in mind for August 9th (and the prior preview shows):

• 7:30 PM – 7:45 PM: Expect early, sporadic bursts of fireworks coinciding with the parade’s opening segments.
• 8:10 PM – 8:20 PM: The Grand Finale. This is the massive, synchronized multi-minute display that lights up the entire sky during the National Anthem.
