Gardens by the Bay Unveils a Stunning New Transformation

If your weekend plans have been feeling a little copy-paste lately, consider this your sign to reset. Gardens by the Bay just completely transformed, and we are not gatekeeping. They are currently running three massive, immersive experiences at the exact same time.

Whether you’re trying to level up your IG feed, planning a cute date night, or just want to see life-sized dinosaurs roaring through the mist, here is absolutely everything you need to know before you pull up.

1. Orchid Extravaganza: Rhythm of the Rainforest

(Image credit: Gardens by the Bay)
  • When: 3 July – 10 August 2026
  • Where: Flower Dome

The annual Orchid Extravaganza is back, and this year’s edition is one of the biggest yet. Created in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy, the Flower Dome has been transformed into a vibrant celebration of Indonesia’s rainforests, culture and biodiversity, featuring more than 7,000 orchids spread throughout the conservatory.

Giant Bamboo Sculptures & Cultural Displays

One of the first things you’ll notice is the impressive handcrafted installations created by traditional Balinese artisans using bamboo and rattan.

Look out for towering mythical dragons guarding a traditional split gateway, a life-sized Komodo dragon, and colourful ondel-ondel puppets that make for some of the event’s best photo spots.

Rare Orchids Worth Looking Out For

Plant lovers can also spot several remarkable orchid species, including:

  • Tiger Orchid – the world’s largest orchid species, capable of producing flower spikes over two metres long.
  • Antelope Orchid – known for its uniquely twisted petals.
  • Moon Orchid – famous for its elegant white blooms.

Weekend Cultural Performances

Visiting on a weekend in July? You’ll also get to catch live cultural performances and workshops, including traditional Javanese dances, wayang kulit (shadow puppetry), and Indonesian calligraphy sessions.

2. Disney Garden of Wonder

(Image credit: Gardens by the Bay)
  • When: 8 June 2026 – 14 March 2027
  • Where: Floral Fantasy

Following its successful debut, Disney Garden of Wonder has returned with an entirely refreshed second edition.

Floral Fantasy now features 23 beautifully crafted Disney and Pixar topiaries, blending colourful floral displays with some of Disney’s most beloved characters.

New Additions This Year

This latest edition introduces several new favourites, including:

  • Rapunzel
  • Belle
  • Jasmine
  • Elsa
  • Anna
  • Olaf

Fans of Toy Story can also explore a vibrant display inspired by Bonnie’s room from Toy Story 5.

Keep An Eye Out For Singapore-Inspired Details

One of the most fun parts of the exhibition is spotting the local references hidden throughout.

You’ll find Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck trying to pull a cup of teh tarik, while Chip ‘n’ Dale have taken over a traditional Singapore ice cream cart.

These playful local touches make the exhibition feel even more unique.

Good to know: Tripods and camera stands are not allowed inside Floral Fantasy due to the narrow walkways and expected crowds.

3. Jurassic World: The Experience

(Image credit: Gardens by the Bay)
  • When: Ongoing
  • Where: Cloud Forest

If flowers aren’t really your thing, Cloud Forest offers a completely different experience.

The conservatory has been transformed into Jurassic World: The Experience, where life-sized animatronic dinosaurs are hidden throughout the mist-covered mountain landscape.

It Feels Like Walking Into A Jurassic Movie

The cool climate, dense greenery and towering indoor waterfall already make Cloud Forest feel prehistoric.

Add realistic dinosaur roars, cinematic lighting and the iconic Jurassic World soundtrack, and it genuinely feels like you’ve stepped straight onto Isla Nublar.

Expect Dinosaurs Around Every Corner

As you make your way along the elevated walkways, dinosaurs suddenly emerge from behind giant ferns and tropical plants.

The combination of movement, sound effects and lighting creates a surprisingly immersive experience that’s very different from the peaceful Cloud Forest most visitors are used to.
